These pieces of cladding cover the outside and top of the upper stile in a clad door panel.

- Fill the kerf at the top of the panel with silicone sealant before applying
- To calculate the length of the cap for a single inswing or outswing door, subtract 1-27/32 in. (1.844 in.) from the width of the frame; for an inswing double door, subtract 1-11/32 in. (1.344 in.) from half the width of the frame; or for an outswing double door, subtract 1-3/8 in. (1.375 in.) from half the width of the frame
- Secure to panel with #7 x 7/8 in. Type A Flat Phillips Wood Screws
- In outswing doors, place weather strip into the groove in the cap
- The panel cap is not required for inswing sidelites and transoms
