Watercolor Blue Kynar-coated A752 Sill Nosing with Fasteners (#16393)

This assembly contains 14 ft. of sill nosing along with the parts needed to attach it to the clad frame and rough opening:

  • One nailing fin along the lower inside groove
  • One horizontal trim connector to fasten the extrusion to the accessory groove in the frame
  • One vertical trim connector to snap the extrusion into the sill nailing-fin groove in the frame

A752 sill nosing is necessary for the deeper exterior casings A754 and A755. (A narrower model, A751 sill nosing, is also available, as well as the older A505 sill nosing for replacement.)

An installation kit is also available complete with end caps, weather strip and all the hardware you'll need for combining sill nosing with casing for jobsite installation (detailed in the comments, below).

Benefits

  • Baked-on silicone polyester enamel coating conforms to AAMA 2604-98
  • Highly resistant to scratches and warranted against cracking, checking, peeling, flaking, blistering, adhesion, chalking and color change
  • This option meets the requirements for projects that contain a Kynar 500™ finish specification

Comments

  • Insert a shim onto each end, then caulk with silicone sealant
  • Dress each side with a matching end cap
  • Cover nailing fin with two corner pads
  • Where sill nosing meets brickmold along the side jambs, notch the sill nosing at each end to accommodate a corner key inserted into the brickmold. (Note that flat casing has no groove to receive a corner key.) The dimensions are given in the drawing above; begin the notch at the following distance from the exterior along the top, according to the profile of the vertical casing:

  • Brickmold Dimension A
    A754, A755 0.179 in.
    A753 1.079 in.
